Join us for a day-long filmathon that will immerse you in powerful stories, captivating performances, and thought-provoking narratives that pay tribute to the rich and diverse stories of Black culture and history. Light snacks will be provided on a first come, first served basis. 

10:00AM Race (2016, PG-13, 135 mins.): Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled journey through history. This sports drama tells the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary athlete who defied all odds to become an Olympic hero.

12:30PM The Woman King (2022, R, 135 mins.): An epic tale of courage, strength, and defiance. The film tells the true story of the female protectors of the African Kingdom of Dahomey, who shattered stereotypes and left an indelible mark on history.

3:00PM Get Out (2017, R, 103 mins.): Follow the story of Chris, a young African-American man who visits his white girlfriend's family for the weekend. Things quickly take a dark and twisted turn as he uncovers a horrifying secret. This film challenges societal norms and tackles issues of racism in a unique and captivating way.
