Waiting to Exhale (1995, R, 124 min). Four friends in Phoenix, Arizona, find solace and joy in each other's friendship as they weather life changes and difficulties in their relationships with men. Based on the novel by Terry McMillan, this film is directed by Forest Whitaker and stars Angela Bassett, Whitney Houston, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rochon.
