Black History Month Film Festival

Black History Month Film Festival

Learn about the dynamic journey of Negro League baseball's triumphs and challenges through the first half of the twentieth century. The League (2023, PG, 104 min) tells the story through previously unearthed archival footage and never-before-seen interviews. The movie explores Black baseball as an economic and social pillar of Black communities and a stage for some of the greatest athletes to ever play the game, while also examining the unintended consequences of integration.

This program is offered as part of the library's commemoration of Black History Month. View additional programs in this series.
