Based on a True Story: The Lizzie Borden Trial

Based on a True Story is a program that explores the real events that happened that inspire works of fiction. Phil Ford, from Henrico County Public Library, will talk about the book See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt, an eerie and compelling historical novel based on the ax-murders of Andrew and Abby Borden on August 4, 1892. Their daughter, Lizzie, stood trial and was acquitted. But did she do it? Find out the fascinating true story behind one of the most famous unsolved murder cases in American criminal history.
