Historically Speaking: Demanding the Rights of Englishmen, The Road to Revolution
In this VA250th featured program, Dr. Joseph Rizzo, History Manager for Henrico County Recreation and Parks, explores the events following the Seven Years' War that shaped American colonists' belief that their rights as Englishmen were under threat, and how those shifting perceptions led colonists to both question their allegiances and imagine a new future as an independent nation. This program is held in partnership with Henrico County Recreation and Parks, History Division and Richmond National Battlefield Park as part of Benedict Arnold's Raid on Richmond events.
This program is offered as part of the library's commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Revolutionary War, and US Independence in the Commonwealth of Virginia. View additional programs in the VA250 series.
