Henrico Community Authors Showcase
Come see Melvina Goodman, author of Caterpillar Chronicles: Awakening and Becoming in the Dance of Recovery. Through the metaphor of a caterpillar's journey into a butterfly, this book illuminates how awakening to one's truth and embracing the process of becoming can lead to deeper freedom, resilience, and wholeness. This book offers a hopeful, faith-fused perspective on recovery as a sacred dance of growth and possibility. Melvina Goodman is a seasoned counselor, educator and author with more than 25 years of experience in addiction recovery, human services, and higher education. A Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, she teaches at Reynolds Community College and is known for creating supportive, transformative learning environments. Her work blends clinical expertise, theological insight, and a passion for empowering individuals and communities.
