Henrico Community Authors Showcase

Henrico Community Authors Showcase

Come see J. Thomas Brown, author of The Hole in the Bone, the story of an archaeologist who is hired by the Regional Museum of Xinjiang to lead an expedition to discover the Lost City of Shamadu. On his journey, he encounters a shaman who presents him with a magic bone that has the ability to transport him 3,800 years into the ancient past where he discovers that he has an unfulfilled mission from a previous life. Brown's other novels and collections include: Land of Three Houses, Saint Elmo's Light, and Mooncalf.  His short stories, poems, and a personal essay have appeared in Scarlet Leaf Review, Everywhere Stories: Short Fiction from a Small Planet, Streetlight Magazine, Lingering in the Margins: A River City Poets Anthology, Rising Voices: Poems Towards a Social Justice Revolution, and others.

Read, discuss, and connect with other writers and readers in our community. Local authors sign up and share their books. Visit henricolibrary.org/authors for details. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
